Meet Our Therapist

Kristi Penouilh, OTR/L

I was born and raised in Louisiana.  I attended Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002.  My husband and I decided to move with our two little boys to the Charlotte area in September 2019. My work experience has placed me in a variety of settings, including the NICU, outpatient pediatric clinics, homes, daycares, and schools. I developed and implemented a variety of therapy handwriting programs and have experience providing optometric visual training under a supervised treatment program to clients of all ages. I have presented to educators on performance components as related to handwriting and activities to enhance handwriting skills. I have completed continuing education in Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, and a variety of other pediatric courses. I am a certified Interactive Listening Provider and am certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol.

I am a MNRI Core in Training and have completed the following courses:

  • MNRI® Archetype Movement Integration

  • MNRI® Dynamic and Postural Reflex Integration

  • MNRI® NeuroTactile Integration

  • MNRI® Oral-Facial Reflex Integration - Level 1

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, shopping for home decor, and traveling.
